তোমারে পাইতে কাছাকাছি
মনের অর্গল খুলিয়া রেখেছি

আর কত দেরি বলো কৃপা করে'
তোমারে ধরিতে প্রাণ মন ভরে
যুগ হতে ভেসেছি যুগান্তরে
করুণার এক কণা যাচি
বুধিতে কিছু করিতে পারিনি
শাস্ত্রের জ্ঞান অপূর্ণ জানি
তব অহেতুকী কৃপা সার মানি
তব নামে শত ক্লেশ যুঝি
Translation
Thorns of the way I've gone on trampling
For purpose of finding You near.
Mind's bolt on door have I kept opening;
Ancient disgrace I am eroding.
How much more delay, graciously please say,
To obtain You wholeheartedly in my embrace.
For ages I have drifted unto end of age;
A single grain of kindness I beseech.
Through intellect nothing could I achieve;
Scriptural wisdom is, I know, incomplete.
Your causeless grace is the gist I heed;
With Your name I resist a hundred miseries.
