তুমি যে ডেকেছো আমায়
আজ যে ঘরে থাকা দায়
কী জাদু আছে তব রাগ-রাগিণীতে
বুঝিতে নাহি পারা যায়

শয়নে স্বপনে নিদে জাগরণে
বাঁশী বাজে অবিরত মম মন-ভবনে
পাশরিতে চাহিলেও পাশরি গো কেমনে
হিয়া মাঝে বসি’ আছো হায়

সুরসপ্তক যতটুকু জানি আমি
তাহার ঊর্ধ্বে প্রভু রয়েছো গো তুমি
তোমার ছন্দে গানে তোমার আনন্দে তানে
লোকাতীতে আমারে ভাসায়

As I have been summoned by You,
Now, staying home is hard to do.
What magic exists in Your melodies?
That I simply can't conceive.

Abed, dreaming, asleep, or awake,
In mind's abode always a flute plays.
Though wanting to forget, how can I?
Seated in my heart, You reside.

All I know of music's scale,
Above it, Lord, You remain.
Your rhythmic songs, Your blissful strains,
They lift me up, beyond mundane.
