ঢেউয়ের তালে ছন্দ জাগে
মনেতে তার দোলা লাগে
ফেলে' গেলে দূর বিদেশে
এঁকে' চরণচিহ্ন চারিপাশে

(আজ) তারার গানে মনে প্রাণে
বাইবো তরী ফুলসুবাসে

By the light of day a song-boat
I had floated toward the remote sky.
In the gloom, to You will I,

To lilt of waves, a beat does rise;
In the mind its swaying sets in.
You went to a strange, faraway location,
Footprint having traced on all sides.
