ভালো বেসেছি তারে বারে বারে
কত যুগ ধরে’ গেছি ভুলে’
মণি গেঁথেছি হারে মনেরই আকরে
সৌরকরে জ্যোতি-উপকূলে
বিশ্বভুবনে এক সে যে আছে
একাই সব মন জিনিয়া নিয়েছে
একই জ্যোতিষ্কে তারায় ঘিরিয়াছে
সবে তারে চায় হৃদি মূলে
সে রয়েছে তাই সবাই বেঁচে আছে
তাহারি প্রীতিডোরে বাঁধা পড়ে’ গেছে
তাহারি গীতি-সুরে মুগ্ধ হইয়াছে
সুধাসারে কালে অকালে
Translation
I have held Him dear over and over;
Through ages so many I have forgotten.
From mine of mind, gems I've strung into a garland,
With rays of the sun on the bank of splendor.
For the entire world there is one who exists;
Single-handed every mind He has taken captive.
With a single luminous body, He surrounds the stars;
And all of them crave Him from core of their heart.
He has endured, so everybody is alive;
By His love-strings they are getting tied.
They become enchanted on just His song's melody,
Like essence of nectar in times of ease or difficulty.
