Translation

You don’t come in the expression of pleasure, O Lord. No, You come within the darkness of pain.

Daylight finds You hidden, it’s in the darkness of night that You smile.

My hope was that I could get You through the power of my knowledge or intellect, or through my riches.

You corrected my mistake and made me understand: it‘s only through love that You can be attained.

My ego, and those mistaken philosophies – keep the truth obscured unnecessarily.

But the liberation of intellect comes in the blink of an eye when a tiny bit of grace is received.
