Translation
O Lord, though the smile of moon, You smile and go on dancing through the peacock’s dance. You listen to the events of all minds, and take position in everyone’s mind. By playing the hand held drum, d’ambaru in thunderous sound, shivering the sky with annihilating song, by prescribing strength in jumping dance, Ta’ndava, the blackness of dirt, You have removed. You are the solitary Purus’a, controller of the Prakrti, remove the dirt and destroy the poison of the ego. Not oblique, but straight like the king of mountains, as tall as a large gregarious sa’l tree, You remain.
