ভ্রমর কাছে এসে আমার চারিপাশে
গুনগুনিয়ে এ কথা গেছে বলে
তুমি আছো বসে মোর ডাকার আশে
তোমায় আমি কেন গেছি গো ভুলে
কেহই জীবনে চেতনে আনমনে
তোমায় ভুলে যেতে পারে না কভু
শয়নে স্বপনে নিঁদে জাগরণে
সবার সঙ্গে আছো গো প্রভু
তাকাতে নাহি জানি ত্রুটি যে নাহি মানি
জেনেও নাহি জানি ভাসি অকূলে
দিন আসে যায় ফিরে নাহি চায়
কোথা চলে যায় নাহি জানি
সঙ্গে নিয়ে যায় কোথায় ব্যথায়
ভরা মমতার যত বাণী
মর্মে ধরা দাও মননে শোণাও
তুমিই থেকে যাও সব গেলে
Translation
A bumblebee came near, moving around me;
Whispering the news, what he'd viewed.
You remain seated, waiting for my invitation;
Why oh why have I forgotten You?
Any living being, conscious or unconscious,
Can never be neglected by Thee.
Abed and dreaming, asleep or awake,
Lord, You abide with everyone.
We know not how to see; erring, we do not heed.
Though we know it not, we are in dire straits.
Days come and go, never looking back again;
Where they go, I do not know.
Carried off with those days, where go the pains,
And where go the declarations of love?
Let me hold You in my heart; make me heed You;
You alone remain, let all else be gone.
